Problem of uploading links to cloud-saved files in Verji, such as SharePoint, GoogleDrive, and OneDrive.

There are two factors that come into play regarding links to external files shared in Verji.
These are:

  1. Validity of the link over time.
  2. If more than one person updates the same file.

1. Validity over time

Over time, links to external files may change, this may be new versions, location of files, etc.

This means that the link needs to be re-created and re-uploaded or edited, meaning you have to perform a manual job for shared links.

Basically, it is recommended that the files themselves be uploaded in Verji so that one avoids the problem of having to update links when it changes.

2. Multiple people are updating the same file

In some cases, files are updated by multiple users, and occasionally at the same time.
In these cases, one has to share the link as Verji currently does not support editing files inside the program.

It is not recommended to download the file and modify it and then upload it again as this can be done by several people at the same time and one risks data loss (lost-update).

Tip: Keep in mind there is unlimited storage in Verji so you can upload multiple versions of the same file.
